L. Warzecha, NITROARENES IN AIRBORNE PARTICULATE ORGANIC EXTRACTS COLLECTED FROM UPPER SILESIA - IDENTIFICATION AND QUANTITATIVE-ANALYSIS, Chemia Analityczna, 38(3), 1993, pp. 303-313
The silicic acid column chromatography was employed to isolate the nit
roarene fraction from the dichloromethane extracts of airborne particu
late matter collected in twelve places in Upper Silesia region. The se
lective isolation of nitroarenes from PAH and carbazoles was acquired
by means of converting nitrocompounds into pentafluoropropylamides. Th
e use GC-MS system and capillary GC in the analysis of amides made it
possible to identify nitrofluorene, nitropyrene, nitrofluoranthene in
the most of analysed samples. It also helped to make the quantitative
determination of these compounds.
