The gas chromatography analysis of the main by-products of the industr
ial synthesis of Bisphenol A has been described. Phenolic compounds we
re transformed into their methyl ethers and separated on capillary fus
ed silica column with bonded stationary phase. The results were compar
ed with the separation of the non-methylized samples. It was displayed
that methylation of a sample decreases adsorption effects in column a
nd reduces the time of analysis.
