Abstract
The storms in October 1987 and January 1990 have provided an opportuni ty to make dendrochronological studies on a wide range of taxa (60 gen era and 128 species) from Kew Gardens and Wakehurst Place. This paper concentrates on distinct radial growth patterns identified from these two locations, and indicates current and future lines of research.
