Abstract
A new species, Oligotrema laethmobia sp.n., is described. It belongs t o a group of aberrant ascidians which is considered by Monniot and Mon niot (1990) as a separate class Sorberasea. Yet comparative morphologi cal analysis demonstrated that this group is closely related to the fa mily Molgulidae; it deserves only the rank of an order for which the n ame Oligotremata is suggested.
