It is shown that the Randles-Sevcik function square-root pi chi(x) fro
m electrochemistry is identical to the Fermi-Dirac function F-3/2(x),
as defined by Dingle. The well-known properties of Fermi-Dirac functio
ns allow us to derive explicit formulae for coefficients in power seri
es and asymptotic expansions for the Randles-Sevcik function.
