T. Kandianis et al., ELECTRICAL VEHICLE DRIVE CONTROL-BASED ON FINITE-ELEMENT INDUCTION-MOTOR MODEL, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(2), 1997, pp. 2109-2112
In this paper, the methodology for determination of an induction motor
model including parameter variations for different operating conditio
ns is presented. The method is based on finite elements and alternativ
e techniques enabling to derive the equivalent circuit parameters from
the field solution are described and discussed. The suitability of di
fferent techniques for the consideration of time variations in the app
lication considered, such as complex variables and time stepping techn
iques, has been commented. The derived parameters are in good agreemen
t with the low frequency response of the motor when supplied by a PWM
inverter.
