Abstract
Asymmetric dihydroxylation of 2-aryl acrylate and 2-phenyl allyl alcoh ol derivatives was studied using the new ligand(DHQD)2-PHAL, Diols wit h good to excellent optical purity were obtained from 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b a nd 3e.
