Abstract
Over the past twenty years, research into the role of antioxidants in the proven ion of cancer has increased dramatically. The use of antiox idant supplements to treat oral leukoplakia has gained acceptance due to the success demonstrated in several clinical trials. This review di scusses the role of antioxidants in the development of cancer and thei r possible use in the treatment of oral leukoplakia. (C) 1993 Wiley-Li ss, Inc.
