Abstract
The case of a young woman who committed suicide by oral ingestion of a large amount of bamifylline is reported. The absence of significant p athological findings, together with high blood levels of the drug, hav e induced us to discuss the probable lethal mechanisms of this substan ce currently regarded as a safe drug.
