Abstract
We have found that vacuum-deposited poly(2,2'-bipyridine-5,5'-diyl) PB Py aligns along glass substrate surface using SHG technique. The SHG a ctivity originates from the interface where the PBPy molecules coordin ate to acidic Si-O-H group on the glass surface.
