A study has been made of the formation of CO2, CO and H-2 during the d
ecomposition of paraffin oxidate hydroperoxides (ROOH). It is shown th
at the yield of carbon oxides and hydrogen amounts roughly to one thir
d of the decomposed (ROOH). The two-stage nature of ROOH decomposition
and CO2 and CO accumulation has been established. The effective rate
constants of ''rapid'' and ''slow'' accumulation of gases has been cal
culated.
