Abstract
In the paper an empirical model for gas-liquid oxygen volumetric mass transfer coefficient, K(L)a, determination in fully baffled stirred ta nk bioreactors as a function of operating volume, V. and operating var iables, P/V, N, V(S) was presented. The proposed model offers a good a greement between the experimental and predicted values of K(L)a and ma y he applied with a +/- 10 % maximum error.
