The type-specimens of Anomaloporus hesperiphonae Voge & Davis, 1953 (t
ype-species of Anomaloporus) from Coccothraustes abeillei (Passeriform
es) and A. lambi Voge & Davis, 1953 from Streptoprocne semicollaris (A
podiformes), both from Mexico, are re-examined. The former species is
considered a synonym of Orthoskrjabinia conica (Fuhrmann, 1908) (new s
ynonymy) and, consequently, Anomaloporus is regarded as a junior synon
ym of Orthoskrjabinia Spassky, 1947. The latter species is recognised
as valid under the name Anonchotaenia (Anonchotaenia) lambi (Voge & Da
vis, 1953) n. comb. Orthoskrjabinia rostellata (Rodgers, 1941) and Mul
tiuterina dubininae Mathevossian, 1969, previously believed to be prob
able synonyms of O. conica, are considered species inquirendae.
