Abstract
Runcinella thompsoni new species (Gastropoda: Opisthobranchia) is desc ribed on the basis of material collected in the Galapagos Islands. Thi s new species differs from R. zelandica Odhner, 1924, both in colour, reddish in the former, dark green with white freckles in the latter, a nd radular tooth morphology, mainly the first lateral teeth. The speci es is also compared with other red runcinids both from Atlantic and Pa cific localities.
