The data are given on transverse interchannel exchange of momentum and
energy in rod assemblies under conditions of single-phase flow of a h
eat transfer agent. They were derived as a result of processing of dat
a of experimental hydrodynamic studies in deformed lattices according
to an ingenious procedure developed by the authors, and of thermal stu
dies using the method of heat wake in regular and deformed lattices of
rods. The obtained data are compared to the results of other research
ers. A physical model of the process of transverse turbulent exchange
in rod-type systems is suggested and calculation formulas are derived
for the exchange coefficients, which are compared with experiment. The
data on interchannel exchange in two-phase flows are analyzed.
