In a field experiment set up on a calcareous sandy soil the effect of
fertilization with N and build-up PK - doses - was studied on the dyna
mics of dry matter and sulphur uptake inf triticale. Treatments by nit
rogen and phosphorus fertilizers significantly increased the dry matte
r, S-concentrations and S-uptakes related to unfertilized. The dynamic
s of the S-concentrations indicated a decrease, while the dry matter a
nd S-uptake on the contrary showed an increasing trend during growth.
Using phenodynamics model - elaborated in Hungary - the predicted and
the observed data of sulphur uptake correlated well.
