Abstract
Mitral cell layer neuronal activity in the olfactory bulb (OB) of the anesthetized rat is modulated by cervicovaginal distension. Data are r eported on 22 cells that decreased and 6 that increased in response to the distension. These results provide support for the existence of a functional interaction between the reproductive tract and the olfactor y system.
