Abstract
In our previous work we have presented analytic expressions for irreve rsible first and second order reactions occurring in Bingham plastic f luids flowing fully segregated in an isothermal tube reactor. In the p resent work we analyse the case of zero-order reaction. To demonstrate the' effect of the non-Newtonian behaviour on the reactor performance , we plotted in Figure 1 the ratio of the actual to plug-flow reactor volume having the same exit reactant concentration for various values of Bingham number.
