Abstract
The surface of POM can be activated and its wetting improved by a spec ial treatment to such an extent that it is possible to coat it with va rnish which adheres well. The surface treatment is equally effective f or unreinforced, reinforced and impact modified varieties. The bond of the vanish to POM is strong enough to meet the very high requirements of the automotive industry.
