Abstract
The isomerization reactions ((E)/(Z) isomerization and double-bond mig ration) are observed when terminal and internal alkenes are cometathes ized with vinyltriethoxysilane in the presence of RuCl2(PPh3)3 catalys t. These two reactions appear to have the same intermediate in the tra nsition state. Hydrido-pi-allyl mechanism of isomerization is suggeste d to explain experimental results.
