Abstract
Spectroscopical and electrochemical properties of Cu(II) complexes wit h a pentadentate Schiff-base have been investigated in acetonirile and DMSO solutions. The influence of the solvent and the free ligand conc entration on the reduction mechanism at the mercury electrode as well as complexation equilibria are discussed. The species present in the s olutions with free ligand excess were determined analysing the Lingane equation.
