P. Gnanamurthy et P. Balasubramanian, INFLUENCE OF PHOSPHORUS AND POTASSIUM ON RAIN-FED GROUNDNUT (ARACHIS-HYPOGAEA), Indian Journal of Agronomy, 37(4), 1992, pp. 755-757
The field experiment was conducted during rainy (kharif) seasons of 19
87 -- 89 to find out the effect of phosphorus and potassium on yield a
nd yield-attributing characters of rainfed 'Co. l' groundnut (Arachis
hypogaea L.). The P and K @ 0, 50, 75, 100 and 150% recommended dose (
10 and 45 kg/ha each) were compared. Application of recommended dose o
f P2O5 and K2O @ 10 and 45 kg/ha respectively along with N @ 10 kg/ha
applied basal resulted in increased pod number, 100-kernel weight, per
centage of sound mature kernel and shelling as well as pod and haulm y
ields.
