Abstract
Deuterium isotope effects on carbon-13 chemical shifts in 5-[H-2]-isot opomeres of ten 2-substituted adamantane derivatives were determined a nd used for complete assignment of their carbon-13 NMR spectra. The ca rbon-13 NMR spectra of ten 2-substituted adamantane derivatives have b een assignated by consideration of deuterium isotope effects. Some fou r- and five-bond downfield deuterium effects on certain chemical shift s have been measured and attributed to remote hyperconjugative interac tions.
