Abstract
From an extract of root bark of Olinia usambarensis, which showed anti feedant activity, caffeoyloxy-5,6-dihydro-4-methyl-(2H)-pyran-2-one, n amed olinioside, caffeic acid, and 4-0-beta-D-glucopyranosylcaffeic ac id were isolated. The structure of olinioside was assigned by chemical and spectroscopic methods.
