Abstract
The known pyrrolizidine alkaloids 7-angelylplatynecine, 9-angelylplaty necine and sarracine as well as the new alkaloid neosarracine have bee n isolated from Senecio chrysocoma. Structures were elucidated by H-1 and C-13 NMR and mass spectrometry.
