Cf. Langford et al., PREPARATION OF CHROMOSOME-SPECIFIC PAINTS AND COMPLETE ASSIGNMENT OF CHROMOSOMES IN THE PIG FLOW KARYOTYPE, Animal genetics, 24(4), 1993, pp. 261-267
Sorted chromosomes from each of the 20 clusters of the male porcine bi
variate flow karyotype were amplified and biotinylated using DOP-PCR.
The chromosomes comprising each cluster were identified by fluorescenc
e in situ hybridization (FISH) of the 20 probes to R-banded male pig m
etaphase spreads. A standard flow karyotype for the pig is presented.
