Abstract
Despite the fact, that acute pseudo-obstruction of the colon (Oglivie' s syndrome) is a rare entity, many of the reported cases have occurred after gynaecologic and obstetric surgical procedures. In order to avo id life-threatening complications, such as caecal perforation, early d etection and initiation of conservative treatment is necessary. We rep ort on three cases with Ogilvie's syndrome after caesarean section. Sy mptoms and treatment are discussed.
