Abstract
A new beta-diketone-type ligand for Eu3+, thylenediamine-N,N'-bis(3-ph enylpropane-1,3-dione) was synthesized and the fluorescence property o f its complex with Eu3+ was studied. The ligand was found to form a st able fluorescent complex with EU3+ in an aqueous solution.
