Er. Fetryaev et al., COMPOSITION AND PROPERTIES OF RADIOACTIVE PARTICLES DETECTED IN THE SOUTHERN DISTRICTS OF BYELARUS, Geohimia, (7), 1993, pp. 930-939
Composition and properties of ''hot particles'' found in registration
points of landscape-geochemical testing areas within 40-250 km off Che
rnobyl NPP have been studied by means of gamma-spectroscopy, beta-radi
ometry, radiochemistry, X-ray and fluorescent analysis. A study of rad
ioactive particles distribution was conducted for soil and atmosphere
of Southern regions of Belarus'. The data on prevalence of radioactive
particles over the territory and as a function of depth of soil secti
ons of control regions were obtained. Radionuclides and ''hot particle
s'' distributions as a function of granulometric composition of soil w
ere studied. It has been shown that the total picture of distribution
of radioactive particles in Southern regions of Belarus' was unchanged
during years.
