Abstract
This article describes the development of a novel embedded-computer sy stem with a visual interface. The authors detail the use of a target s ystem simulator and a prototype PCB, which facilitated a concurrent ap proach to the design of the hardware, software, and housing. They outl ine this codesign process and illustrate its effects with comparative data from the earlier VuMan 1 project.
