T. Beier et H. Mommsen, ON THE IMPORTANCE OF LINE SHIFT AND PEAK BROADENING CORRECTIONS IN THE EVALUATION OF SPECTRA IN NEUTRON-ACTIVATION ANALYSIS, Journal of radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry, 172(1), 1993, pp. 29-41
The evaluation of gamma-ray spectra achieved by Instrumental Neutron A
ctivation Analysis (INAA) is improved if effects of line shift and pea
k broadening am taken into account, comparing the corresponding gamma-
lines in spectra from samples and standards. An algorithm which handle
s both effects is proposed and iu realization in a computer program fo
r routine analysis of archaeological ceramic samples is presented.
