L. Carr et al., DISEASES, MEDICATION, AND POSTINSERTION VISITS IN COMPLETE DENTURE WEARERS, The Journal of prosthetic dentistry, 70(3), 1993, pp. 257-260
The records of 268 patients were used to assess the effects of five di
sease/drug complexes on the number of postinsertion visits in complete
denture wearers. The data were analyzed with SAS and BMDP computer pa
ckages. The results showed a statistically significant increase in the
number of postinsertion visits in patients who had central nervous sy
stem or psychiatric disorders. Practitioners are alerted to consider t
he ergonomic implications at the outset of treatment.
