Abstract
The recently described Artibeus amplus is easily confused with four ot her large-sized Artibeus in northern South America. However, cranial m orphometric analyses (sheared principal components analysis and discri minant analysis) substantiate that A. amplus is distinct from its symp atric congeners. The first distributional records from Guyana are repo rted for this species and identification keys are presented.
