Giant cell hyalin angiopathy (GCHA) is an unusual histologic finding a
ssociated with inflammation. The lesion has previously only been repor
ted intraorally and is usually preceded by trauma. We report the first
case of cutaneous GCHA. The eosinophilic, amorphous material (so-call
ed ''hyalin'') stained for light chain products, suggesting that their
deposition resulted from a reactive process associated with inflammat
ion.
