Abstract
This paper discusses a new educational computer program which takes ad vantage of the graphical and computational capabilities of personal co mputers in order to help students visualize the dynamic phenomenon of magnetic diffusion. The program is capable of animating analytical and numerical steady-state solutions to a one-dimensional magnetic diffus ion equation. The analytical solution is straightforwardly found from phasor analysis, while the numerical solution is calculated via the pa rtial discretization method.
