Abstract
In order to prepare heterogeneous non-enzyme model catalysts, a chelat e,ion exchange resin, or silica gel modified with iminodiacetic acid w as treated with Fe2+ ion in the presence Of L-ascorbic acid. Hydroxyla tion of toluene and ethylbenzene, NIH shift with hydroxylation of tolu ene-4-d, and oxidation of adamantane were studied using the heterogene ous model catalysts in pH 4.0 aqueous acetone at 30-degrees-C under an oxygen atmosphere with mechanical shaking to discuss active oxygen sp ecies.
