Abstract
Autoradiography was employed to demonstrate the timing of the retinal axons reaching the medial terminal nucleus. It was found that the reti nal axons reach the MTN of the albino rat at or around the 17th day af ter conception. The retinal axonal distribution in the embryonic media l terminal nucleus is completely contralateral.
