Abstract
Cartilage grafts or biopsies of such grafts were obtained from six chi ldren who had undergone laryngo-tracheoplasty surgery at times ranging from 10 to 38 months after surgery. The histological appearance of th e grafted cartilage was of gradual degeneration with chondrocyte necro sis and replacement of cartilage matrix by fibrous tissue.
