Abstract
Inhibitory seizures presenting as transient ischemic attacks are rare. This case illustrates the association of significant carotid stenosis , focal seizure activity over the ipsilateral motor strip and contrala teral weakness. Inhibitory seizures briefly remitted with benzodiazepi nes, but chronic control of seizures and intermittent weakness occurre d only after endarterectomy.
