Abstract
Approximate results for the bit error probability (BEP) of binary phas e shift keying in the presence or a noisy carrier phase reference are presented. The results show correctly the behavior or the BEP as a fun ction of SNR. The accuracy of the approximations is verified by simula tions and numerical integration of the BEP formulas. Comparisons of re sults with existing bounds are also given.
