Abstract
Experimental results are reported for the continuous evaporation of sa line water under enhanced solar energy input. A multipurpose solar des alination unit (MPSDU) has been introduced and tested. A dynamic flow of saline water introduced to the multi-channel evaporator is heated u p to 60-degrees-C. Soluble mineral salts are selectively separated alo ng the channels in addition to distilled water. The salts include NaCl , MgCl2 and others.
