Abstract
The deoxidizing capacity of 11 elements used as deoxidizing agents (Mn , Si, Al, and Ti), and microalloying additives (B, Ca, Mg, Ce, La, Y, and Sc) for the melting of alloys is evaluated. Curves of the amount o f dissolved and bonded oxygen versus the concentration of the element being introduced to a type N65M corrosion-resistant alloy are plotted.
