Abstract
The influence of carbon and silicon on the chemical composition of ele ctroslag chill castings melted from 7Kh3 and 9KhF steel consumable ele ctrodes and also on the hardness and life of the rolls was investigate d. A standard production method for rolls of electroslag chill casting s with additions of carbon and silicon was developed. The economic des irability of use of the new method was shown.
