Av. Korznikov et al., EFFECT OF SUBMICRON-GRAIN STRUCTURE ON THE MECHANICAL-PROPERTIES OF LOW-CARBON STEELS, Metal science and heat treatment, 35(1-2), 1993, pp. 102-106
The development of modern branches of technology places ever higher re
quirements on metals and alloys, i.e., they should have not only high-
strength, but also have the required ductility and fracture toughness.
The possibility is considered in this article of increasing the stren
gth of low-alloy, low-carbon steels with retention of high toughness a
nd ductility by methods of preparing a submicron-grain structure. Opti
mum thermo-mechanical treatment schedules are suggested.
