A mathematical model is derived to simulate the electrodissolution cur
ves for a metallic deposit constituted of very small spherical particl
es (2 mum average diameter). The model takes in account the randomly d
iameter distribution by dividing the total amount of metal in several
classes (a class is made of spherical metallic particles of identical
diameter). The total current is the sum of the individual contribution
of each class. An illustration is presented which describes the elect
rodissolution of a copper electrodeposit on aluminium. The electrodepo
sit is thin enough to be constituted of well separated metallic sphere
s. The electrodissolution is performed in presence of triethylpentamin
e.
