Abstract
Streptococcus pneumoniae is a frequent cause of pneumonia and meningit is. This article looks at the pneumococcal vaccine, its uses, efficacy , and adverse effects and how vaccination may be improved. We also loo k at the role of the new conjugate vaccines.
