Self-diffraction in optical-dense media is investigated for the case,
when it is necessary to take into account the reverse influence of the
medium on the field. Numerical analysis of Maxwell-Bloch equations ha
s been made. With the growth of the concentration of two-level systems
an anomalous response of four-wave mixing emerges. This response is c
onnected with the appearance of a self-diffraction signal in the negat
ive delay region and with a faster decay of coherence in the system.
