Abstract
A mechanism of multi-pulse destruction of semiconductors by short lase r pulses based on tye concept of the burst-like accumulation of point defects, has been substantiated. Analytical expressions for the critic al temperature and intensity and for the dependence of the critical nu mber of pulses on the intensity have been obtained. The theoretical re sults are in a good agreevent with the experiment.
