Abstract
Excess molar volumes (V(E)) and viscosities (eta) have been measured f or 2-methoxy-1-ethanol + water at 25, 35, and 45-degrees-C. The values of V(E) have been found to be negative over the entire range of compo sitions, and the viscosity versus mole fraction curves show maxima at about 0.3 mole fraction 2-methoxy-1-ethanol. The results indicate the predominance of hydrogen-bonding interactions between these two unlike molecules.
