Abstract
The unreported heavy neutron-rich nuclide Th-237 has been identified f or the first time. Sources of Th-237 prepared by 14-MeV neutron irradi ation of uranium followed by radiochemical separation have been studie d. The new activity of Th-237 was identified by following the time var iation of the characteristic gamma-rays. The half-life of Th-237 has b een determined to be 5.0 +/- 0.9 min.
